Please note!!!

This natural henna for hair contains significant amounts of henna, which is permanent and rarely fades like chemical reds. You cannot remove henna with a color remover, and bleaching it out will damage your hair long before you get rid of the orange. This product also contains small amounts of indigo, which is never encouraged to bleach over as failure to remove it all may result in greenish or blue tints to hair.

Strand test!!!

It is advisable to do a strand test before applying henna to the entire scalp. Select one inch section and apply henna onto it, to know what color it may leave on your hair texture

How Our herbal hair colours work

Our herbal hair colours dye your hair with long-lasting colour with the exception of Our Senna / Cassia (Neutral). So, to prevent any undesired colour outcome we recommend a sample test before use.

Note: Collect hair from your hairbrush and place them in a small quantity of hair colour paste to see the result. Since our herbal hair colours are natural and contain no chemicals, it is not possible to lighten your hair colour with them. If your natural hair color is black and you use a light brown, your hair will not change colors. You can, however, add lighter tints to your hair. For example, if your hair is a dark brown and you put our natural red, you will get a red highlight that will show up nicely in the sun. When you have found your desired hair colour we first suggest colouring the hair roots, since the hair lengths already have the colour of your choice. All Khadi Herbal Hair colours can be mixed with each other without any problem. The proportion depends on the colour that you want, your hair structure and also the colour which your hair already has.

Instructions for Use:

Wash the hair with a silicon free shampoo. Mix the proper amount of the powder with warm water (50°C) until you get the consistence of yoghurt. Leave it to cool down a bit and put on the hair when it is still warm (but not hot). Put on a plastic washing hat and roll a towel around your hair. Leave on the head for 30 minutes to 2 hours. Wash the dye off with warm water. Be patient – the color becomes more intense in a few days after dyeing, because of the natural process of oxidation.

Avoid shampoo and other hair styling products for the next 24 hours for the natural hair colours to get stable. The next day you can shampoo your hair. You can also oil your hair. Massage a small amount into scalp and entire length of hair and leave on for at least an hour before you shampoo. You can massage the hair oil and leave it overnight before you shampoo.

How much you need

The amount of henna powder needed for your hair depends upon several factors such as hair length and texture. Below is a general guideline on how much henna needed:

Short Length Hair: 60 grams

Shoulder Length Hair: 120-180 grams

Mid-back Length Hair: 180- 240 grams

Lower-back Length Hair: 240-300 grams

Waist Length Hair: 300-360 grams

Care For Grey Hairs

As explained our herbal hair colours put a glaze around each individual hair, colouring your hair in the process. This means that your hair colour is determined substantially by the existing colour of your hair. For this reason each hair will develop unique individual shades with natural hair colours. This will also lead to great variation in colour between your grey hair and your original hair colour.

Henna has characteristics which help it to easily colour hair, but Indigo does not especially in connection with grey hair. Indigo also washes off faster. So the colour on grey hair can fade faster while the other is still dark leading to unwanted colour variations.

To avoid all this, it is advisable to colour your hair in two steps, particularly if you have selected a very dark shade for your hair. In following these two steps the Indigo will give the desired colour and will also be long lasting especially on grey hair.

Pure Henna

The duration you keep the paste on your hair depends on individual hair structure especially if you have fine or thick hair.

Wash off the paste. Now over this pre-coloured hair you can use any of the darker tones which you have chosen. Use the same procedure as mentioned. The result will be an even coloured tone throughout your hair.
